Rev. Kornelius Neal, Sr.
Greetings, St. Stephen Family and Friends,
I am Kornelius Neal Sr., the new Pastor of St. Stephen CMEC located in Fairfield California. I bring greetings on behalf of my wife, Shemika and our three children, Khaleah, Kornelius Jr., and Kennedi. It is indeed a pleasure to serve as the Pastor of St. Stephen CMEC and I look forward to all that God has in store for us during this 2023/2024 Conference year.
God willing, we’ll have several opportunities to learn from each other. Please allow me to provide one of those opportunities in this message.
I am the son of two (Kenneth and Ella Neal), the husband of one and the father of three. As a Los Angeles native, I grew up at Phillips Temple CME Church in Los Angeles where I was baptized by Bishop Steward. In 2005, immediately after graduating from Lane College with a degree in Mass Communication, I accepted my calling to ministry and earned the Master of Divinity from Phillips School of Theology, the seminary of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Atlanta, Georgia.
Over the last 22 years, I’ve worked professionally with several nonprofit organizations amassing a wealth of knowledge and experience in administration, governance, diversity, equity and inclusion and several areas of focus that has complemented the work God has called me to do in His church.
I’ve been blessed to enjoy great increase, administrative success and spiritual growth in every pulpit God has allowed me to serve in. As we open this conference year, please know that I look forward to all that God has in store for us at St. Stephen.
My theme in ministry is “LOOKING FORWARD TO MOVING FORWARD,” and I am looking forward to moving forward with you.
A lot of things happen without prayer, but better things happen when you pray. August will serve as a month of transition for my family and me. As we pray for you, please pray for safe travel, health, energy, and acclimation to a new place.
It is my prayer that this note has reached you in space where you feel the presence of God in your life. Thank you for receiving this message and I look forward to seeing you in the Sundays to come.
